It is with heavy hearts we must share the unexpected loss of John Wesley Smith. John lived a full life as son, brother, uncle, father, and friend. John passed away January 2nd, 2024, on the Smith Family Farm, where he lived most of his life. He worked at the Camas Paper Mill until his retirement in 2018. John's life centered around his family and making sure his parents were well cared for. His idea of fun was felling trees and splitting wood to ensure everyone stayed warm during the winter. He also enjoyed working on his 56 Chevy and 53 Willys, creating yard art and lounging with his beloved dog, Diogee, who preceded him in death this Fall.

John is survived by his parents Orville and Norma Smith, brother Jeff Smith (Stacey), son Jason Smith, nephew Andrew Smith, and niece Mariesa Smith.

A memorial service will be held at Bethel Community Church, 1438 B street in Washougal at a later date.
