Obituary of Daniel R. Pavlina

Please share a memory of Daniel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Daniel Rae Pavlina of Camas, WA. passed unexpectantly on October 23, 2023 at the age of 65.

He is survived by his wife, Layle, his two children and their spouses Cole (Jenny) and Emily (Daniel) and four adoring
grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

Dan was born on December 26, 1957 in Redmond, OR and was the second of four children born to Max and Norma Pavlina (deceased). He moved to Vancouver, WA as a young boy and then moved to Camas in 1971, graduating from Camas High School in 1976. He then attended Clark College and went on to receive his Bachlor of Science degree from George Fox University in 2015. Dan was currently employed by Stimson Lumber and was looking forward to retirement.

Dan was a selfless man who loved the Lord along with being a dad to his children and a papa to his grandchildren. He had a love of classic cars, friends, playing cards, camping, fishing and reading. Dan was strong in his faith and participated in many church activities including facilitating a faith-based camp serving local foster youth.

We will miss his unmatched sense of humor, love of family and caring spirit.

A service is scheduled for 3pm on Saturday, November 4 at Harvest Community Church, 2436 NE Astor Street, Camas, WA. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Teen Reach Adventure Camp – Camas in his memory.
