Betty Ann Bradley London 1922 - 2013
Betty Ann Bradley London of Washougal died January 29, 2013 at age 90. Betty was born August 19, 1922 in Canal Zone, Panama where her father was the foreman of the Western Locks of the Panama Canal. Betty attended college at University of California Santa Barbara until enlisting in the Navy during WWII. Upon completion of her service, she returned home to Panama and met and married Richard Wayne London and together they celebrated 56 years of marriage. In 1951, they moved to Southern California. In 1962, Betty and Richard moved to Vancouver, Wa. In 1978 they
made their final home on the Washougal River in Washougal, WA. Betty returned to complete her education receiving her BA in education from Portland State University and taught at the elementary level in the Vancouver public schools.
She was preceded in death by Richard in 2006. She is survived by her sons Bradley Jack London Terri of Washougal, WA, Richard Rit William London Ellen of Bangkok, Thailand and Roderick Craig London of Anchorage, Alaska. She is also survived by her sister Peggy Ann Bradley of Vancouver, Wa, her sister-in-law, Carolyn London Thompson Ken of Vancouver, Wa.
Betty had seven grandchildren, Matthew Jackson London Paula of Washougal, Wa. ; Krista London Couture Arthur of Washington, D. C.; Travis Jordan London Paola of Washougal, Wa.; Dr. Tessa Elizabeth London of Lexington, KY; Kathryn Josephine London of Washougal; Laura Nicole London of Portland, OR and Robert Houston London of Washougal, Wa. Betty had four great grandchildren and one step great grandchild: Richard London Couture, Atison Primero
Oakley London, Maya Reyan London, Olivia Emma-London Couture, Krashh Tyee-London Taylor and Valentina Javiera Arias.
While the family has lost a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, the world has lost a role model and angel. She will live on in the hearts of family, friends, and community forever.
Private graveside services will be held at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery. Straub's Funeral Home
in Camas is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to The Ray Hickey Hospice House 2112 E Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver, Wa 98661
