William John DeBoever

It is with a heavy heart we announce William “Bill” John DeBoever, 61, of Camas, Washington, passed away suddenly on April 22, 2023.

Bill was born in Vancouver, Washington to Raymond and Mary DeBoever on January 19, 1962. He graduated from Camas High School. He retired from The Camas Papermill following 32 years of service.

Bill loved restoring older vehicles, fishing, and collecting a variety of memorabilia. He had a passion for leather crafting, woodworking, and building models. He was known for his bright smile and big heart. He will be deeply missed.

Bill is survived by his sister, Christine McIvor (Kelly) and brother, James DeBoever (Julie) as well as and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mary DeBoever; sister, Kathleen Zimmer; and brothers, Daniel, David, and Joseph DeBoever.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Cascade Inn for the care they provided Bill during his stay.

A memorial service will be held at St. Thomas Catholic Church, in Camas, Washington on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 2 PM with Father Jerry Woodman officiating. Burial will immediately follow at the Camas Cemetery followed by a reception at St. Thomas.

Straub’s Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.
