Del Harkins was born on 9/9/29 in Davenport, Nebraska. He enjoyed his early years on his family's farms in Nebraska and Kansas. His immediate family moved briefly to Salem, OR and later to Camas, WA where he graduated High School and lived to celebrate his 93rd birthday. He married Genielle Lois Marble in 1949, joined the Camas United Methodist Church and worked 43 years at the Camas paper mill. Del enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and carpentry. He and Genielle traveled with the 49ers RV Club for many years. He loved being the father of his four children. He is survived by three of his children, Lauralee Harkins, of Camas, WA, Carol (Gary) Blackwell of Cornelius, OR and Dean (Barbara) Harkins of Washougal, WA, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Genielle Harkins and daughter, Gail Harkins and great granddaughter Clara Mae Blackwell. The funeral service will be held November 19, 2022 at 2 PM at the Camas United Methodist Church at 706 NE 14th Ave, Camas, WA
