Raydelle Rita Wagner Higgins, 79, of Camas, WA, passed away on October 8, 2022 from numerous health conditions. She passed peacefully, surrounded by her family.

Raydelle was born to Walter G. W. and Freda E. Mires Wagner in Portland, OR on September 18, 1943. She grew up in Raleigh Hills, OR & graduated from Beaverton High School, where she was part of the Synchronized Swim Team. During those years she was involved with the Girl Mariners Cygnet Unit. She participated in Sailing Trips, Life Guarding, & Regatta Competitions.

Raydelle married her high school sweetheart Bruce, on August 21, 1965 in Portland, Oregon. They joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in 1967. They raised their children in Scholls & Raleigh Hills, OR.

Raydelle drove school bus for Groner School District and Beaverton School District for over 20 years. After retirement, she moved to Camas, WA.

Raydelle was a very creative person. She loved to plan, decorate, and lead activities that involved her children, grandchildren, extended family and church congregation. She was constantly learning about self-reliance, including canning, gardening, medicinal herbs, and emergency preparedness.

Raydelle was survived by her husband of 57 years, Bruce; daughters Shauleen Higgins (Sam), Kala Thurber (Alan), Yvette Ogata (Marc), Lawan Miller (Cory), Brenda Karr (Rick); son Tate Higgins (Julie); and 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son Jad Higgins; her Parents; her sister Carol Byerly (Wagner); her brothers Glenn Wagner and Eugene “Bud” Wagner.

A funeral service will be held at the LDS Chapel, 18214 NE 18th St Vancouver WA, on Monday, October 17, 2022 at 11 AM.
