Darla Renee’ Dixon passed peacefully on Feb. 18, 2022 at PeaceHealth Hospital in Vancouver, Washington. Darla had been undergoing treatment for a glioblastoma brain tumor since her diagnosis in Sept. 2021. Darla was a Drug and Alcohol Counselor for Skamania County and loved helping people. Her passion was for relationships and loving on the people in her life. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved making people laugh. Her last words were, “Tell me a joke.” She had a strong faith and belief in God that brought her comfort and guidance throughout her life. She loved spending time with family and friends, in prayer, all things coffee, gardening, decorating, and making chocolate chip cookies. Darla was born Mar. 19, 1962 in Vancouver B.C., Canada and died 1 month before her 60th birthday. She is survived by her two siblings - brother, Paul David Dixon; sister, Terra Dixon; her two children – son, Jeremy Robeson and daughter, Nikki Hunter; and her two grandchildren – Bruce and Brynndalynn Hunter. She will be loved, missed, and remembered forever through stories, pictures and the lives she touched. Darla’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26 @ 1pm at People’s Church 6801 E Mill Plain Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98664. She will have a cremation burial at Washougal Memorial Cemetery where her father, Paul Finley Dixon, was laid to rest several years prior.
