Obituary of Almeta Oleta Carroll

Almeta Oleta Carroll (Jenkins) many called her Tiny, age 93, of Washougal, WA, passed away on July 7th, 2021 in Vancouver, WA at Peace Health. Almeta was born in Lenior City, TN, to her parents Carnie and Fronie Jenkins on February 21, 1928. She attended grammar school in Lenior City, TN and completed her GED from Clark College in 1988. She worked at Crown Zellerback and finished her career at Pendleton Woolen Mill. Her hobbies and activities were quilting, her church at Bethel Community in Washougal, and mostly her family. She enjoyed grandchildren and great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Almeta is survived by her children, Sharon Carroll of Vancouver, WA, Robert and Linda Carroll of Burbank, WA, Esther Carroll of Schaumburg, IL, J. Ernestine Carroll of Washougal, WA, Dan Carroll of Washougal, WA, Erick and Carol Carroll of Camas, WA, Karin KD Carroll of Washougal, WA, including Rosalie Smith of Washougal, WA. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren. Predeceased by husband Bruce L. Carroll, son Lloyd Beecher Carroll, and dear friend Vern Campen Funeral services will be held at Straub’s Funeral Home, 325 NE 3rd Avenue, Camas, WA 98607, July 16th, 2021 at 12 pm with Pastors Tad Aldrich and Rich Blum of Bethel Community Church, Washougal, WA. The visitation will be held at Straub’s Funeral Home, July 15, 2021 from 10 am to 4 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer and/or flowers.
