REBECCA ELLEN CURL (WALTON) Rebecca Curl (Walton) passed away on December 18, 2019 in Vancouver, WA at the age of 63. She was born January 3, 1956 in Vernonia, OR. Rebecca received her Associates Degree in Sociology from Mt. Hood Community College and worked for American Airlines for 40 years. While there she was awarded the American Airlines Honored Service Award and American Airlines Agent Excellence Award. She was an advocate for breast cancer awareness and research and organized the American Airlines sponsored team for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Rebecca loved people, traveling and the beach. She also enjoyed gardening and crafting seasonal floral arrangements. She is survived by her sons, Derek Walton of Washougal, WA, Kenneth Walton of Portland, OR; sisters, Angela (Alex) Hering of Indianapolis, IN; brothers, Steve (Mary) Curl of North Plains, OR, Jeff Curl of North Plains, OR and Doug (Leslie) Curl of Bethany, OR. A Rosary Service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 960 Missouri Ave., Vernonia, OR on Saturday, December 28th at 10:30AM followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00AM.
