Obituary of Ethel Josephine Golliher

ETHEL JOSEPHINE GOLLIHER Ethel Golliher, age 94, died Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at her home in Washougal. She was born October 10, 1918 in Midvale, Idaho to Elbridge and Helen Pickett. Ethel grew up in Idaho were she meet and married Zurha Jerry Golliher in 1942 in Weiser, ID. After moving to Washougal, Ethel worked at the Kaiser Ship Yard and the spinning department at Pendleton Woolen Mill where she worked on wools for military uniforms. Eventually she became a fulltime housewife and through the years was active in Girl Scouts, PTA, and American Field Service. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years. Survivors include daughters, Virdie Golliher of Fox Island, WA, Rhonda Golliher of Washougal, and Ladinea Ed Faler of Washougal; brother Cedric Pickett of Midvale, ID; sisters Wilma Bromley of Star, ID, Lois Ward of Athol, !D; and grandsons Tom West, Allen and John Faler all of Washougal; and numerous nieces and nephews. Private family services will be held and burial will be at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery. Straub's Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions can be given to Washougal United Methodist Church Heartfelt Quilters, a support program for Foster Care children.
