Obituary of George William Cass
George William Cass, 76, of Washougal WA passed away on June 26, 2019 in Camas, WA.
George was born in Wallace, Idaho to George A. and Louise E. Cass on March 5, 1943. He went to Hudson’s Bay High School in Vancouver, WA and graduated in 1961. From there he went on to earn a teaching certificate from Central Washington College. He later earned a Master’s degree in Science. He taught at Washougal from 35 years, from 1966 to 2001. After retiring, he substituted for 15 more years. He coached just about every sport and he loved doing all kinds of outdoor activities and being with his beloved dogs.
George is survived by his loving wife, Lana, of Washougal and only daughter, Erica, of Snohomish, WA. He is preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister, Betty Lou.
A Celebration of Life will be held for George on Saturday, July 27that 1:00 P.M. at the Washougal High School Auditorium. He will have a private inurnment at Washougal Memorial Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Washougal Schools Foundation or WCGHS of Washougal. The family wishes to thank everyone for their kind support.
