Ybeltje Bangma was born on May 23, 1941 in Uitwellingerga, Netherlands and passed away on Monday February 4th in Camas, Washington at the age of 77. She was the fifth of six children born to Ralph and Shirley Bangma.
The family traveled from The Netherlands to the United States in the early 50’s. She was known for her kind and innocent yet funny personality, strong faith, and love for music. Ida was proud of her career as a Document Control Manager for many significant projects throughout Los Angeles and was heavily involved in church throughout her life, attending bible college in later years and volunteered in numerous capacities at Community Chapel in Norwalk, CA. The most important things in her life was the love of God and her family.
She is survived by her younger sister Marieke. Daughters-Dianna, Laura and Shelly. Grandchildren -Josh, Derek, Summer, Frank, JJ, Aaron and Amanda. Great-grandchildren-Jordin, Josh, Zoie, Nathan, Jaxson and Frankie.
She will be sorely missed. She has been preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Shirley Bangma, sister Angie, Anike, brothers Marten and John.
Following her wishes a private family “Celebration of Life” was held in lieu of a service. Mom loved a good joke or silly story...For those that would like to express their condolences or a story to share with the family please visit....
