Obituary of Patricia J Richardson

Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Our beloved mother Patricia Jane Richardson passed on July 8, 2018. She was born August 5, 1922, to Adeline and Dr. Archie Bird. They were longtime residents of Camas WA, where Mom spent the majority of her life. Mom graduated from Marylhurst college. After graduation she moved to Seattle, WA and worked as a social worker. It was there that Mom met the love of her life, Thomas C. Richardson. They had a two week romance before Thomas went overseas to fight in the war. They married six months later. They were married for 70 years until his passing on December 5, 2016.

Mom was a great cook, gracious hostess, loving and caring person and was devoted in her faith.  She was the mother of six children, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is survived by four of her six children, Nick, Mark, Pat and Mary Saunders. Thomas and Stephen preceded her in death. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her. In the words of her husband 73 years ago, “Gosh, I love you, Golly”.
