Roberta and I shared a love of history. We worked together on the Parker's Landing Project Committee, helping to create a beautiful park at that historic site. I chaired the committee to develop a historic kiosk commemorating the history of Parker's Landing that ended with a wonderful dedication ceremony with local and state officials present. Roberta could not have been more pleased as each phase of the park project was completed. I also worked with Roberta serving on the Heritage Trust of Clark County board that designated local historic sites recommending some to the National Register of Historic Places. In addition I interviewed Roberta for the Tidland chapter of my book "Camas Pioneers" She was very enthusiastic about all of these projects and as others have related, a soft spoken, caring gentlewoman. Sorry to hear at this late date that she has passed, and I send blessings to all of the family.

Roberta Tidland was a force in a small package. I respected her tenacity and persistence in bringing the history or our community to everyone's attention. We now have a beautiful park, a site on the National and State Historical Register, and people to carry on her legacy. She led the way in making a difference, in spite of the barriers she encountered. I will miss her.

Ted, Lynn, Jayson and Tammy:
It was my privilege to meet Roberta briefly years ago, but I still remember what a strong and gracious woman she was, despite her small stature. While I know you will miss her here on earth, I also know that she is rejoicing with our Lord in heaven, finally able to dance with and before Him and to laugh and sing in His presence. May that be a great comfort to you and all your family.

I will be eternally indebted to wonderful, generous Bobbie Tidland. She came to my rescue when I had no idea what I was going to do. She was my Angel of Mercy.❤️

Roberta was a faithful follower of Jesus and she mentored me and many others on our journeys of faith. She was very knowledgeable, soft spoken, gentle, refined, patient, steady, and considerate. She loved the Bible and let the truth of God mold and shape her. She held friendship in high regard and easily kept private information in heart-felt confidence. She was great at listening with open arms, but could also share stories and wisdom for hours. She was a friend like no other to me. I eagerly yearn for the coming glorious day when I shall see her again in Heaven as we gather around the throne!
