I have known Ellie since 2007 when we met at the American Syringomyelia Allience Chiari project conference in Washington DC. It was my first year at the conference and the first time I had met her in person, Months prior here and I had struck up a friendship over the phone through a telephone support group she ran for asap.
She was a warm fun loving person who absolutely loved her family and always had quick witt about her. My fondest memory was the day after the conference, the two of us descided to stay in DC another day to explore the city and take a break from the confrence. Thank you dear Ellie for your friendship . My heartfult sympathies to the entire McCullen family. May you rest in God's peace . sincerely, christine marchesano grabowski

I am so sorry I will be unable to attend the service for Ellie today. Ellie and Jim were wonderful people who positively impacted three generations of my family. Ellie will be sorely missed.

My sincere condolences to the entire family, but primarily to John, Katy, and Jim. I very much appreciated your Mom as a substitute teacher and librarian at Garfield Junior High School back in the late '60's. I wish you all the best, and want to express my gratitude to you all for her love and understanding, as well as her outstanding contribution to my education, and acceptance of me as one of her students. At the same time, I always considered your father to be one of my very favorite teachers as well. Thank you, -Dan
