It was wonderful to know Mr. and Mrs. Berry. I remember him as a smart and caring man that was an excellent skier and would open his house to Andy and I regularly.

I remember my great grandpa as a wonderful man! He was the one of the kindest and most outgoing people I knew. For about the last year I was volunteering at his retirement home twice a week and would prepare dinner and serve drinks for the residents. Everyone there loved him! As I would go around serving drinks, many people would ask me who I knew there. When I told them that Leland Berry was my great grandfather they would often respond with descriptions of how great of a person he was. Not only did many of the residents know him, but much of the staff too. Most of the full-time or even half-time waitress/waitresses would refer to him by name and ask him about his day. Many of them knew his orders and seemed to have a good relationship with him. It was so great to see how many people knew and loved him! He was such a positive and generous person, and he touched the lives of many. I hope everyone got a chance to see how amazing he was! He will be missed.

My memories of Lee are many, from him stopping on his way home to let me throw my bike in the back of his pickup so i didnt have to push it up Wood burn hill to the many years we hunted elk together with my dad. A boy of 14 will never forget shooting a trophy 6 point bull which Lee help me shoot which he let me take all the credit for. he was a good man.
