Obituary of Kathleen Zimmer

Kathleen was born Oct. 11, 1945 in Vancouver, WA to loving parents Raymond and Mary DeBoever.  On July 23, 2017 she was called home by the Lord at her home in Washougal, WA from heart failure where she lived with the love of her life Edward Zimmer.

Ed and Kathy Zimmer were married on May 16, 1974.  They met while both working at the Camas paper mill.  Soon after, she became passionate about her Real Estate career.  She loved her work for about 37 years.

Kathleen touched so many lives.  She was your go to gal for information and advice.  She supported and donated to many places throughout the community.  Kathleen especially enjoyed supporting her granddaughter, Karen Phelps, with her many horse clubs and 4-H club.  It brought her joy to see the kids show their animals at he Skamania County fair, to see the hard work and love the kids have put into their animals.  She liked reading books, watching old shows and the Trailblazers.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Edward Zimmer; daughter, Amy Liller (Jeffrey); granddaughter, Karen Phelps; brothers, Daniel DeBoever, David DeBoever, William DeBoever and James DeBoever; sister Christine McIvor; stepchildren, Nanette Yracheta and Darline Brice; numerous other grandkids, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary DeBoever; mother-in-law, Thelma Zimmer; brother, Joseph DeBoever; and stepdaughter, Delores Coulson.

Kathleen’s memorial will be held Thurs., Aug. 24th at 11a.m. at the Camas Church of the Nazarene, 2204 NE Birch St., 90607.  A rosary will be recited at  St. Thomas Church, Camas on Aug. 22nd at 7p.m.
