So sorry to hear about Charles. I lost my husband Louie in March and he and Charles had many good visits about farming over the years. I imagine they are talking and laughing in heaven right now--along with Frankie!

I met Charlie in the Vancouver VA. His room was across from mine, and we were table mates ror meals. In the few months i knew him he was always full of wit and sarcasm. Three in the morning i would see his light on then we would go sit in the recliners and talk sometimes until first light. He was full of stories and smiles, some stories were sad but most had a comedic value akin to his wit. You his family must have really enjoyed him, and you will surely miss him. I know we do around here. My deepest condolences to you all. I couldn't think of a better person to talk and eat ice cream with at three in the morning.

Charlie will be missed by all... he had some amazing stories that he shared with us over the years. Adventures on the farm...wrestling calves, feeding cows, haying, gardening. He always had his shovel in hand and baler twine to mend things when needed. Frank and Charlie shared a story one time that someone had broke into their house and they caught the fella and tied him in the kitchen chair with baler twine til the sherriff arrived.
Oh, the adventures those DeTemple boys had together must have been pretty amazing. So glad to have known you both. My kids will have great memories of the two of them to share with their own families someday. Farm On Charlie!! ❤

The DeTemple family was a hard working family.
Sorry for the loss of Charlie. He was a great neighbor to have, a granger from Fern Prairie.
Blessings JoAnn Anderson
