LEWIS "BUD" CHILCOTE
Lewis Earl Chilcote, known as "Bud", passed away on March 14, 2011 in Camas. He was born on July 10, 1927 in Iola, KS. After Bud finished his service with the Army he came to work at Crown Zellerbach in Camas where he met and married his wife of 57 years, Darlene. He retired from the print department in 1983.
Bud was an active member of the VFW and organized their bus trips to the casinos. He would drive his 1944 Army Jeep in the Camas Days Parade. Bus loved the outdoors going fishing, hunting and camping. He enjoyed spending time at the property on the Little White Salmon River. Bud was an avid fan of baseball. He passed on this love to his children and grandchildren and got involved with Little League, again with the grandkids. He loved going to the airport and watching the planes and one of his hobbies was working on motorcycles, fixing them up for kids that otherwise wouldn't be able to have one.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene, in 2007.
Survivors include his sons, Bruce and his wife, Michelle; Jeff and his wife Connie; sister, Martha; 3 grandchildren, Melissa, her husband Bill; Cody and his wife, Stacie; and Cameron; and great grandchildren Kort and Ella along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Bud's Life will be celebrated during a niche side service at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery on Monday, March 21 at 1PM.
