We were so sorry to read about Eric's passing and want to send our sympathy to all his loved ones.
I met Eric in 1st grade and we went on to Franklin Junior High. He was going "steady" with my best friend, Mary Lou, and I was with Rick. We hung out together and had many good times.
Eric would come by our house every year or so when he was in Yakima and we would catch up.
He was a good friend with a wonderful smile and a great sense of humor.

The first time I met Eric he welcomed me like I was part of the family.Eric was the person who you could always count on to be there for you,no matter what.We will miss Eric's smile and his laugh.

I've known Eric Greiff a long time. He worked as a boilermaker at the shipyards with my husband Dennis for 20 years or so and he also became a close friend of our family. Eric was a great guy and everyone I know was fond of him.
When Dennis passed away in 2002, Eric and Janice were there to give assistance and moral support to my daughter Christy and I. We will never forget the kindness and generosity they provided us during that difficult time.
Eric was a fun-loving and witty guy. He could always make me laugh! Eric was also thoughtful and kind. When I moved to the beach, he gave me kite-flying lessons! I am so grateful to have had the pleasure of knowing him.
To Eric's children, grandchildren, loving family members and many friends, I would like to express my condolences and heartfelt sympathy for your loss.

Delsa, Max, Hans and Von. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I'll always remember the days when I, my brother and sister, would come over to your house with our folks and we would play into the evening and hike over to the train tressel, which we were obviously not suppose to be doing. I remember the last time Eric and I recieved a spanking. Dad had us bend over the kitchen chair, Eric first, wham!wham!wham!. I don't recall why we deserved such treatment. Well, anyway, Eric goes into the bedroom crying. Now it's my turn, wham!wham!wham! Ahh!. I go to the bedroom, open the door and when our eyes meet,...now there's that fraction of a second when we both have the same feeling,...Hmm that wasn't so bad...and we begin to laugh and laugh hard... Oh no! heres DAD "SO YOU BOYS THINK THATS FUNNY DO YOU,GET BACK IN HERE, I'LL SHOW YOU FUNNY". The second treatment was administered with a little more force. That is the last time we got a spanking together.
Eric I wish you were still here! For those that love you Eric,I want them to know my heart aches just as I know their hearts ache also. Good bye my brother!!!

Von Delsa Hans-
Sorry for your loss i know at these time in our lives things seem hard and sometimes unfair. Time will heal the loss and in time the thoughts of Eric will bring a smile. I'm sure he would want that. It sounds like he went a long way from that mobile home on Fruitvale in Yakima and had a great life with lots of love. Once again sorry for your loss to all family and friends.

Sorry to hear about Eric, too young to go. I was one of the lucky one to have known him from Cascade General, where he epitomized the attitude and work ethic of that World Class ship repair company. He was one who could get things done, well organized, very skilled in his work and his interaction with the people who worked for him. We will all miss him. All the best to you, Bill Timmins
