After returning from WWII my grandfather married my grandmother Bobbie Moffitt of Long Beach California. She was 14 years old and was pregnant at 14 with my mother Donna Gay. When my mother turned 9, Don had my mother sent to live with her uncle who molested her for most of her childhood. Later on in life Don disowned his first daughter at the advice of his third wife Beverly. The short time I knew her and her family, they had brainwashed my grandfather into hating all of Donna's family and his four grandsons. I'm so sorry my Pappy ever met Beverly and that we didn't do more to protect him from her. We were never told of his death and never mentioned in any memorial as his blood survivors.I'm sorry Sherry didn't do more to stop Beverly and her family from turning my Pappy against us. We loved him very much and her great memories growing up with him and Grandma-Gracie. This Scotch if for you Pappy! The way I remember you.

Grampa Don,
I will never forget your sweet smile, kind nature, cheerfulness, sense of humor, hugs and handshakes, how you would tell me on the phone " you're sure lookin' good", you were the kindest sweetest man I have ever known, and could only aspire to be like you. I wish I had more time with you. You are in my thoughts daily and will be missed dearly.
Love,
Aaron

My Sweetie, yesterday, Christmas, was spent at Diana's and Mike's. All the family that could be there was there. Dinner was wonderful, Diana outdid herself again. Lots of presents, and all loved the pics of us we gave them. They all missed you so much. You were thought of all day, and loved so much. We love you so much. Miss you so much.
Till someday, your Sweetie, Bev

Don...YOUR LOOKIN' GOOD,CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW? We just never want to forget all the memories that we shared, from the first time we went to Black Meadows in the 60's to the River camping on the slab with Ramos Fizzes for breakfast in the 90's, you fighting the sea dragon in the water when you got all tangled up, too funny. You always were smiling and was always kind, you were so kind we still see you sharing your cereal with Peepers. More good times were the circus at the Shiner's,horseshoes down below, eating at the Fireside and not to mention Pinetop.Thank you for helping us move to Havasu and being able to share time on the Lake and in our Pool.I'm also Blessed to be a part of yours and Mom's Wedding in Laughlin. Please forgive us for not being up there in your last days, WE LOVE YOU AND WILL NEVER FORGET YOU. LOVE LARRY & LINDA

"Supervisor...worker" It was a concept that took a little time, but you seemed to enjoy it...as much as I did. You were and always will be a wonderful inspiration in my life. The wealth of knowledge, smiles and good times will following me into eternity. The happiness and love between grandma and you will always be a bright spot amongst our hearts. Keep the shop clean, the tools ready and I will be your "Worker" again some day. I will miss you deeply.
