Obituary of Jimmy Ross Mauldin

JIMMY R. MAULDIN Jimmy R. Mauldin passed away on November 10, 2010 after loosing his battle with cancer. Jim was born January 6, 1944 in Oklahoma City, OK. He is survived by his loving wife, Lorilee Ann Mauldin of Washougal, WA; daughter, Sue Ann Mauldin of Katy, TX; stepson, Darren Templer of Washougal, WA; stepdaughter, Charlotte DeVaney of Washougal, WA; niece, Mandy Freeman of Camas, WA who he helped raise; sisters, Marketta and Elizabeth of Oklahoma, and Vicki and Sammie of Texas.; grandchildren Taylor, Jesse, Alycen, Ethan and Cassie which he loved so much. Jim served in the United States Navy from 1961 to 1981 as a Hull Maintenance Technician achieving the rank of Chief Petty Officer. During his distinguished career he served on numerous surface ships, submarines, and sub bases. Following his naval career he worked in the construction trades in the Northwest. Jim loved watching his grandchildren play ball. He went to as many ballgames as possible. He also enjoyed going camping with all his family members. He was quite the jokester and prankster. Jim was a member of the American Legion Post 27 in Camas, WA In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Jim's name to the Babe Ruth Field c/o Scott Purkeypyle @ 928 5th St. Washougal, WA 98671. Thank you to Hospice SW and friends who helped and gave support during his illness. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 1PM at Straub's Funeral Home in Camas.
