Obituary of Linda Kay Purkeypyle

LINDA KAY PURKEYPYLE April 23, 1943 – October 8, 2010 Linda was born in Myrtle Creek, Oregon to Louise and Marion Crete Winebarger. She fought a courageous three and one half year battle with cancer, and passed away at home with her family at her side. Linda lived in Pasco and Mesa, Washington during her school years. She was Dairy Princess of Franklin County, and very involved in 4-H, an interest she passed on to her grandchildren. She loved the outdoors, wild flowers and caring for her family. She worked at Emanuel Hospital in Portland and retired from UPS. She was a long time resident of Washougal, Washington and lately of Camas. She attended New Heights Church in Vancouver. Linda loved her Lord and Savior and was involved in her church. Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, Norman, Sr.; daughter, Kimberly Craig Bob, sons, Norman, Jr., Patrick Jill, Scott Jennifer; sister, Brenda Weaver; brothers, Johnny and Jimmy Winebarger; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild. A celebration of Linda's life will be held on Thursday, October 14 at 1:00 pm at New Heights Church at 7913 NE 58th Ave. in Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Ray Hickey Hospice House at 2112 E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver, WA 98661.
