CLYDE MORBY Clyde went home to be with the Lord August 1, 2010. He passed very peacefully in the comforts of his own home with his loving family by his side, at the age of 76, following a long courageous battle with cancer. Clyde was born on September 22, 1933 in White Salmon, WA. He worked for Broughton Lumber Company as a young man, and then took time away to serve two years in the US Army during the Korean War from 1953 to 1955. Clyde returned back home to his roots and job at Broughton Lumber Company, continuously for 28 years. Clyde and Barbara Maddux were married May 13, 1956 at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Stevenson, WA. In their 54 years of marriage, they raised three children, Natalie, Becky and Greg. Clyde leaves behind his wife Barbara, daughters, Natalie Wood Mike Monroe of Camas, Beck Fernandes Jerry of Washougal, son, Greg Morby Robin of Washougal, grandsons, Derek, Dwight Becky and Brett Wood, Natalie, Kyle Morby, great grandson, Daniel and many nieces and nephews. Clyde's special love was spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, camping and country music. His journey is his reward. To know Clyde was to love him. His unique sense of humor brought a smile to many people. Fortunately he kept his sense of humor and smile to the end of his last days. He will forever be cherished by his family. Clyde will be truly missed, loved and respected and a great man. At Clyde's and family request, there will be no services.
