RICHARD ALLAN MONAGHAN
Richard Monaghan, age 81, passed away on June 4, 2010 in Vancouver. He was born July 3, 1928 in Centralia, WA where he grew up. He joined the Army and served during the end of WWII. After he was discharged he went to college and became a columnist for the Tacoma News Tribune. Richard went back to college again and became a lawyer. He would work as a Clark County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney and later a court commissioner. In 1953 he married Katie Russell. They were married for 52 years when she passed away in 2005. Richard would later marry Grace Robertson. He was an avid bicycle rider, fly fisherman and Mariner's fan. Every year he would attend the Ashland Shakespeare Festival and was a voracious reader.
He is survived by his wife, Grace; children, Maggie, Connie and Doug; grandchildren Molly & Natalie.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date. Straub's Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
