Obituary of Jeanne Lorraine Anderson

JEANNE LORRAINE ANDERSON May 5, 1932 – May 24, 2010 Jeanne died May 24, 2010, at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, WA. She was 78. Jeanne was born May 5, 1932 in Buena, WA to Larned and Blanche Robbins. The family moved to Camas in 1942. She graduated from Camas High School in 1950 and worked various jobs including positions with a Portland bank and Crown Zellerbach Paper Company in Camas. She married W.B. "Bill" Anderson in 1952. She and Bill lived in Norfolk, VA and Bremerton, WA during part of his U.S. Navy days, and in Vancouver, WA until 1957, when they returned to Camas for good. Jeanne was a full-time homemaker who had a passion for music of all kinds and loved going to concerts with family and friends at venues near and far. She also loved all animals and had pets her entire life. Her greatest enjoyment was traveling in various RV's throughout the Western United States and Canada for more than 40 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Bill at home, daughter Melinda of Vancouver, WA, son Michael of Camas, WA, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Wilma, in 2008. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 11AM at the United Methodist Church in Camas, WA. Burial will be private at the Camas Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society or the Southwest Washington Humane Society in Vancouver, WA.
