June 14, 1927 – April 20, 2010 Marvel June Scheitzberger Nagel was born June 14, 1927 in Kingsley, Iowa to Sarah and William Schweitzberger. She was the youngest of 6 brothers and 5 sisters. She moved to Washougal, WA in 1945. While there, she married Robert "Roy" Nagel. They had 2 children: Barbara Diann and Frank LeRoy stillborn. Marvel and Roy lived in the Orchards, Brush Prairie and Hazel Dell, WA areas before retiring and moving to Sequim, WA in 1983. They owned and operated the Hazel Dell Laundromat from the late 1960's to about 1981. Marvel's hobbies included sewing, knitting, gardening – both flowers and food – and reading westerns. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in both Vancouver and Sequim. Her beloved husband of 64 years, Roy, passed away in December of 2009. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Terrin Pearson of Vancouver, WA; sister, Violet Kramer of California City, CA; three grandchildren, Jason & Jeff Pearson, Lindsey Peebles and four great grandchildren. Marvel was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother – and all will miss her beautiful smile and unconditional love. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 1:30 PM at Straub's Funeral Home in Camas. Burial will follow at the Camas Cemetery.
