Obituary of Shane Edward Wilson

SHANE EDWARD WILSON Shane E. Wilson, age 42, passed away March 19, 2010 in Vancouver, WA. He was born June 3, 1967 in Pasco, WA and was raised in Camas. Shane graduated from Camas High School in 1985 and Clark College in 1988. He married Sharyl Burrese in 1989. Mr. Wilson worked at Columbia Machine for 22 years as a manufacturing engineer. He was a volunteer at the Treasure House for 15 years and was working with juvenile offenders doing community service. He was also an advisory board member for the Skill Center in Clark County. Shane was also a reading tutor at Lacamas Heights Elementary School in Camas. Shane enjoyed life and watching NASCAR, riding bikes and spending time outdoors with his daughter and her friends. He also liked road trips, vacations, collecting memorabilia and he loved to tell stories and jokes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharyl on August 1, 2009. Survivors include his daughter, Taylor of Washougal; mother Nancy Wilson of Camas; father and step-mother Jay & Jane Wilson of Vancouver and grandmother, Florence Taylor of Camas. Shane's life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St. John's Presbyterian Church in Camas. Straub's Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial donations can be given to the Treasure House at PO Box 815, Camas, WA 98607.
