My wife Jan and I will miss Eric's cheerful greetings. His usual " well if it isn't the Hulk Himself," always made me smile.
Him and Claudia made such a nice team. A man of intergrity, good humor, Eric will be sorely missed. I am just so grateful that I was in his sphere of living while he was here.

We had so much fun on our gambling trips with you and my sister..We will miss you but will know that you're up there cheering for us if we ever win the jackpot!
We'll need to take Claudia with us because she's the lucky one, especially lucky to have had such a good man for a husband. We will always love you,

I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to know a man like Eric. Like so many others, I also had the wonderful experience of working with him at Main St. "back-in-the-day". Eric was an excellent role-model, and an even better boss! He effortlessly made people feel good. If you did something well, he acknowledged it, and if you messed-up, he called you on the carpet about it, but in a respectful and constructive way! Eric inspired people to want to do better, and it made me feel proud to get his approval. Eric was always quick to laugh, and certainly made everyone else laugh...A LOT! In fact, Eric's sense of humor was one of his best qualities! Eric was a gem, and he will be greatly missed!
Claudia, you are a strong woman, and it is obvious to anyone who ever spent any time around the two of you how strong your loving bond is! That will never go away, and Eric will always be your guardian angel, watching over you until you meet again...until then, just know that you have a lot of love and support available to you, anytime you need it, with the many, many people who care about you and are here for you! God Bless you!

To me Eric was a hard working, creative, intelligent, and loving friend that made me laugh. I have so many memories from Mt Baldy to Las Vegas, and from Arizona to Washington. Hardly a day has gone by over the last 30+ years that I don't remember something funny that Eric said or did that will make me laugh again and again. My brother Ramey will remember Las Vegas with Eric, Goldie and Sal, stingers, and the pencil lady, but he can tell the story best. Bonnie Kricks Incredible Ice House with Ted & Bonnie, and where Eric and Claudia fell in love. 31 years Claudia, how fast it all went by. Both of you are always in my heart. And we had so much fun, didn't we? There was a serious side to Eric as well and he helped alot of people. A big heart and a wonderful sense of humor, I'll end with the last thing we all used to say before we parted:
"I want my Eric!"

We always thought of he and Claudia as part of the family and have felt blessed to have known him in this life. We will miss his phone calls and e-mails. We are so happy we made the trip to Carson last summer to visit Eric and Claudia. We will see you in the next life with the 'stinger' you invented at Bonnie Krick's Incredible Ice House, what a teamat hand, so we can laugh out loud once again.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Claudia, during this difficult time. We will always remember Eric for all the reasons everyone else has mentioned, and then some. I will never forget how he was the one who gave me the terrible news of my brother's death. I can still see the compassion in his face, and how much he would have liked to spare me of my own grief at that moment. And, of course, on the lighter side, that you both always remembered to put olives on half of our pizza! :
His presence will be greatly missed, and Carson will never be quite the same without his smile.
God bless, Marta Stig

I first met Eric when I was hired as one of the original employees at Main Street Convenience store. From the first day Eric and I hit it off. I will always remember his sense of humor and the count down to midnight when store closed and we would sit down and have a beer! Even though I didn't give much notice when I had to quit my job, Eric hired me back at least threeor was it 4?different times. He was generous and wouldn't ask you to do more than he himself would do and I haven't had a boss like him since-almost 23 years!
Eric - you will truly be missed....
Claudia - my heart goes out to you. The 2 of you always made time for small talk and made me always feel welcome to stop for a visit, when I was in town though, I regret to say, I only made a few, and I am saddened as though a member of my own family has left us.
I am thankful that I have only good memories and masses of emails that Eric has sent to me over the years to brighten up the sky.
Love to you - Laura

Eric, you were ONE OF A KIND! Aways with a smile and a good thing to say about everybody even when they did'nt deserve it. There was never a stranger in your world and you were always there with a buck or one of those great sandwiches you made if anyone was hungry or broke. The world for me will be a dimmer place without you. I love you Buddy!

Claudia,
One of my favorite memories of Eric was always the smirking grin he would give me when you 2 would first arrive at Main Street at 8 AM. It was always half "good to see you" and half "what the Hell am I doing here?" His laugh was infectious, and he always raised the spirits of those around him. It was a great privilege getting to know him, and you, during my 2 years there, and I learned many things from Eric that I applied myself as a manager in the years since with great success. Eric knew how to treat people with respect and kindness, and always kept things amiable and often humorous. He was a great and positive influence in shaping who I have become today. In all my years, he was the best man I ever worked for.
With love and greatest sympathies,
Jeff Lemley
