LEONA E. CLINE Leona Cline passed away February 18, 2010 in Vancouver at the age of 89. She was born August 8, 1920 in Eustis, NE to John and Carolina Reeker Gaibler. They moved to Newberg, OR in 1934 where she graduated from high school. At the age of 19 she moved to Camas and got a job working at the paper mill. Leona married Clarence Cline on September 12, 1942. After 35 years at the mill, she retired when she was 55. Leona was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and member of their quilting group. She also enjoyed playing pinochle and socializing with her friends. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Jacobs of Camas; brother, Walt Gaibler of Newberg, OR; grandchildren, Michelle Jacobs-Brown, Laurie Jacobs, Michael Rice and Robert Jacobs. Leona's life will be celebrated on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 3pm at the Camas United Methodist Church. Private interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver. Straub's Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
