LEO FINCK Leo Finck, age 92, passed away January 4, 2010 in Vancouver. He was born September 17, 1917 in Avon, SD. He was raised in South Dakota and married Mary Parcenka in 1942. He was then drafted into the Army served during WWII being stationed in Europe. After his discharge he returned to South Dakota and began farming. In 1959 they moved to Camas and Leo worked in maintenance for the school district. He also owned and operated Fern Prairie Lockers. Leo enjoyed going to auctions and traveling. He was a member of St. John's Presbyterian Church in Camas and the Cattleman's Association. Leo was preceded in death by brothers, Herbert & Paul and sister, Meta. He is survived by his wife, Mary, children, Robert and Dennis of Vancouver, Roger of South Dakota, Margie Shoemaker of Washougal, and Randy of Battle Ground; brothers, Edward, Ruben, Leonard and Neil; sister, Linda Schmidt; 13 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 11am at St. John's Presbyterian Church in Camas. Straub's Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial donations can be given to the American Cancer Society c/o Margie Shoemaker, Relay For Life team captain "Wayward Women of Washougal" Team 12 @ 12422 Washougal River Rd. Washougal, WA 98671.
