Obituary of Ethel J. Brown

Ethel Jane Brown, 81, born October 2, 1928 in Roubaix, South Dakota, returned to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 in Vancouver, Washington. Ethel was preceded in her death by her husband James Madison Brown in 1969. Ethel is survived by her four children, Allen Pam Brown of Washougal, Jane Parker of Brinnon, WA., James Lorie Brown of Camas and Mark Lisa Brown of Vancouver and her step-daughter, Donna George Manor or Camas, WA. Ethel had fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Her faith, family and church family were her life. She spent many days visiting and caring for others and being involved in her church until her illness would no longer allow. Ethel loved to walk and be with her grandchildren. Children were her greatest joy. Ethel's faith has been her greatest love. She lived to serve God. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 10th, 2009 at McLoughlin Church of God, 903 Winchell Ave. Vancouver, WA 98661 at 12:30 pm. Viewing will be prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at the Fern Prairie Cemetery 25700 NE Robinson Road, Camas, Washington. A gathering of friends and family will immediately follow the service and will continue after the burial at the Church. Straub's Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the McLoughlin Church of God.
