Sharon and my life growing up on Cherry and Holly Street are fond memories. Sharon was always the peacemaker. The sweet girl that made everyone feel better. We went through school together, I attended her wedding in her parents home and then had the privelege of having her daughter in my first grade classroom. As long as I live, Sharon will live in my heart and my memories. God bless each of you. P.S. Gus and I tried to find your service today, the 6th. We went to the Washougal and Camas Community Centers and could not find you. We are very sorry to have missed it.

I have so many words to say and not enough space to say them. I became a friend of Sharon's through her daughter Shari who I consider my best friend. I rode Sharon's clydesdale Fanny and Shari rode her mule Daisy in our wedding. We had alot of Great times with a beautiful soul and her daughter Shari along with husband Ferris and Sharon's G children Justin and Jennifer. Shari gave up so many things to care for Sharon and make sure that she could stay in an invironment that she knew and a routine that she could understand. We were saddened when Sharon decided that she wanted to be closer to where she grew up and it wasn't long after that move that she had to go into a full care facility. We will always remember that beautiful Lady and her wonderful Shari & family. We love you and you will be missed. Until we meet again my friend.
Love,

Oh Shari, We just heard the news about your Mom. We met Sharon when her and Dave came to live by her daughter Shari. Sharon and Dave were wonderful people. She loved country music and Dave would play along with my son who played the drums. Shari cared for Sharon for over 6 years and did a great job, it was not always easy when Sharon went through her angry stage for Shari or the family. Such an aweful desease and such a beautiful woman inside and out. Shari please know we are thinking of you and know that we think of your family often. The neighborhood is just not the same since you moved away. We miss and love you all. Rest in Peace Sharon.

We lived across the street from her daughter Shari and family. We got to know Sharon and Dave when they moved close to Shari and her family. I can't tell you the kindness that Shari along with her children showed my children. Shari is a wonderful person and cared daily for her Mother. I remember the day that Sharon was going to go into town to buy a hamburger and I asked if Shari knew she was driving and she said "well, she said I could use anything I needed here" I said "I think I will go in with you" not sure they would appreciate you driving the lawn mower all the way into town. LOL,you had to laugh to keep from crying. Shari and the family went through some very tough things with Sharon and Shari never waivered that was her Mom and she owed it to her to care for her and Dave felt the same way. Shari, the family stayed strong and now she is at peace and we can smile that she is out of pain and we will see her again someday. We Love you Shari, Family and Sharon.

We got to know Sharon some years back. We met her and Dave through Shari and we will never forget the kind and beautiful woman that she was. She always said how grateful she was that Ferris helped Dave become employed and Sharon loved helping Shari and seeing those Grandchildren. Shari cared for Sharon as her desease took over her mind and Sharon tried to make light of it all. I'm now going through the same with my Grand Father and I never knew how hard this was. Shari you are a Great person with a huge HEART. Rest in Peace Sharon and we will meet for ice cream someday. don't eat all the mint chip!.

The world lost a lovely woman the day Sharon passed away. She leaves behind a woman that is part of her in her daughter. I had my horse out at Shari's stables for 5 years and she took on the task of caring for her Mother just as she took care of all the horses and animals. We couldn't believe it at first and then you could clearly see that Sharon was not the person that had first come to stay close to her daughter. Sharon will never be forgotten the people that knew her loved her and the people that didn't get to meet her missed out on a wonderful person. Shari, keep your head held high, you gave so much of yourself. Sharon, we love you and will meet again someday. You have many animal friends awaiting.

I knew Sharon and Dave for many years. Sharon was one of the nicest lady's I knew. Loved her animals and loved her mans music. She always said that she loved that country music and her man could play and sing. I often wondered what happened to them when I moved away. Thank you Shari for letting me know about your Mother and I'm sorry for your loss.

The tears are pouring, happiness for Sharon, sadness for the ones that loved her and suffered along with her. Shari you gave so much of yourself and your family time to care for Sharon, she loved you. Remember the day we were coming home, she was all packed up in the wheelbarrow, dog, sleeping bag, pillow, snacks, walking down the road about a mile from home and we pulled over and you calmly got out to ask where she was going and she said "I'm looking for work" and you said "I know somebody that is looking for help, I will give you a ride" We scolded her for leaving home and never to accept a ride and after we got home and unloaded the horses you went to the barn and cried. I can't imagine and now we can be happy she is no longer confused and she is safe. Iam sure she is smiling down on you and I'm sure she has her boots waiting so she can come help! Thanks for such a wonderful gift of letting me into your life and meeting such a wonderful person. Miss Sharon.

Like the person before wrote, the world lost a wonderful person and beautiful soul when Sharon passed. Sharon and Dave attended some Cowboy Poetry readings and jam sessions she tapped her toes and knew every song they sang. I know how hard this is on the family. We just lost my Father to the same. Sharon loved the life she knew and she had some stories to tell. We love you all. Bless you Sharon and keep on tappin those toes.

My entire family was touched by Sharon. I boarded my horse at Shari's for 7 years. Sharon and Dave came to live close to Shari's family and she helped around the barn. My children couldn't wait to see them all. Shari worked double duty to keep everything running smoothly and there were days things didn't run to smoothly with her Mom. We lost her in Wal Mart a couple of times and she stole the car once to go get some candy! Little stinker. She touched our hearts and she will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace Beautiful Lady Sharon.

My heart goes out to the entire family that we came to know and love over the 3 years we were at Shari and Ferris'. What a wonderful lady Sharon was always whistling and humming. She always would say how she wished she was smarter and I would tell her that she was smart in ways she didn't even know. We moved away and I miss them all to this very day. I have never had my horse at a safer place and he has never been cared for the same. Hey, no other facility has a live singer in the barn area. Love to all and Sharon keep on humming those tunes and God has Kissed another Angel Good Morning!

I have to say that I was devistated when I read the e mail that Sharon was gone. My Mother was diagnosed in 1999, Sharon in 2000. Shari wanted to watch over her as long as she could and what a wonderful job she did. I was not that brave. My Mother went into a facility and passed quickly. Shari I think keeping your Mom busy helped her through so many stages of this horrible desease. Sharon we will honor you and miss you. Rest in Peace you beautiful soul. I'm sure there were some very HAPPY animals when you arrived.

Thank you Sharon for being a brief part of our lives. We met you through Shari Burns in California, and you always had a kind word and smile for my boys and myself. You babysat my younger son several times, and were always quick to offer to help out a busy mom. We only wish we could have gotten to know you better, but knew immediately that you were a strong woman with a gentle soul and a great love for children and animals.

I know I signed this guestbook earlier but with the emotions I feel and trying to type through the tears, I messed it up.
Sharon and I grew up together and lived just a few blocks from each other all of our childhood. We were in the same grade all through school. When we were Freshmen she was voted Homecoming Princess and I had the previledge of escorting her to the stage at the dance. I was always proud to be Sharons cousin. we confided in each other about things we thought serious as children and teenagers.
I have memories of visiting her and Dave in Paulina, Or. We talked about things I will always remember and can not share. I loved Sharon very much and belive the feeling was mutual. It tore me apart to watch her go though that final process in her life. The last time I saw her, I could only hold her in my arms and cry and she didn't know why. I could never make myself go back after that day. Sometimes life can be so unfair.

I did not have the pleasure of knowing Sharon but I do have the pleasure of knowing her daughter, Shari and Sharon taught Shari some very important lessons in life. I truly admire Shari for all her accomplishments and I know Sharon had alot to do with that. From reading the other guest book signing it looks like I missed out on knowing Sharon but feel she passed on a lot of her best traits to Shari. I am very thankful for your true friendship and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this tough time. I love you very much Shari. May your mother rest in peace.

Each Day I come by to check the postings and read every ones memories. I was lucky enough to be able to tell Mom so many times that I loved her over the past few years as we would stroll down memory lane. Well I would, but she would laugh and participate as best she could. I to remember her working at the school, we would go to recess and my friends would fight over who got to hold her hand. Ugh, couldn't we just go skip rope, or play 4 square. I'm sure Shari would always get the same response "that’s your Mom" I will always think of her as the prettiest lady I know. I remember how much she loved music. She was always signing or humming along and even in the recent years she would sit and listen while tapping her foot.
She would feel so honored to read your kind words I would like to thank each and every one of you for sharing your stories with us. Everywhere I have been this week folks have expressed sympathy over our loss, she touched so many peoples hearts. Thank you!

Oh Shari, how your Mom will be missed. That great smile and those sparlking eyes of hers. What a great lady she was, I never could figure out how she could run those horses, slop around in the mud like the rest of us, but not look like the rest of us,always so perfect she was, but that's Sharon.
We laughed about the great move to Grants Pass, the escape with the trailer;I guess only Sharon and a few of us can appreciate that one.
and how lucky we were to visit Sharon at the State Fair in Sacramento before she returned to Washington.
I know she's in a better place now, We can only imagine what tales Sharon and Red dad are telling as they sit on that bale of hay looking down on us. Dan and I want you to know we do feel your pain and wish you, your sister and the rest of the family our prayers and thoughts.

Sharon and I were born in the same year and grew up close as cousins can be. We played, went to Summer camp, slept in the yard to watch falling stars. Once we found the cats into new potatoes and peas after a family picnic. We shood them away skimmed the top off and laughed hillariously about the dish having added vitamin c. I found a picture of she and I at Jantzen Beach from way back and will always treasure it. I love her for so many wonderful and beautiful reasons. See you later girl....Jeanne

The years we had the privilege of spending with Sharon are precious memories to our whole family. She was always kind, loving, giving and caring, like a Grandma to our kids who still call her Grandma Sharon. The last time we saw her was in Calif. she called me to tell me she had been diagnosed and didn't know what she ever did to deserve that. I am glad that she is now in a better place, although she will be missed here, we will see her again one day. To her g. grandchildren, they will miss a really great lady who loved kids and animals. Memories of my life and Sharons run deep and strong. She was part of the kids "gang" that ran on Holly St...even though she lived a street above us on Cherry St. We built forts in the prune trees, rummaged through the sewer lines as Gause school was being built and played kicked the can after dark....all as elementary aged children. In our high school years Sharon was a gorgeous young woman both inside and out, always standing up for those who might be picked on. Sharon got married and I went on to college, only to see our lives reconnect when I became Sharon's daughter Shari's teacher. Life has a way of connecting those who have shared a life. I will always have Sharon as a part of me. She will live as long as I do. I feel privileged to have shared my life with her. Sharon...rest in peace and know you are missed by many.
