Obituary of Laura Ann Stevens
Please share a memory of Laura to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
LAURIE ANN STEVENS
Laurie Ann Stevens, 48, of Camas, fought a 26 year fight with two brain surgeries and Multiple Sclerosis and decided she has fought long enough and has chosen to give up her poor little broken body for beautiful wings. She passed away April 9, 2009.
Laurie loved life even while battling her illness. She has always been positive and found joy in simple things. She has always been a reminder to take a look at whatâ??s really important in life, each other. She worked for the Columbian before she got sick. She enjoyed playing the guitar, listening to music, playing games, driving her truck, playing the lotto, going out to eat, spending time with family, and letting everyone know just what a feisty tough girl she was.
Laurie is survived by her parents, Jim and Carole Stevens; brother, Jim Stevens, Jr.; sister, Susie Lusk; brother-in-law, Scott Lusk, nephews, Kevin, Michael, Justin, Tanner, Sheldon and niece, Autumn.
After spending 7 years with Laurieâ??s second family, we would like to say a very sincere, grateful and heartfelt thank you to Highland Terrace nursing home. They have always been there for Laurie and us especially for Laurieâ??s final days. We can never say thank you enough to the Highland Terrace angels and Hospice.
Laurieâ??s family will have a private service for her at a later date.
Laurie is going to be greatly missed and forever loved.
Arrangements are under the direction of Straubâ??s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas. To send condolences or to sign the online guestbook visit www.straubsfuneralhome.com.
