Ronald Robert Olmstead
Ronald Olmstead, 64, died at his home in Vancouver on March 10th. Mr. Olmstead was born in Lewiston, Idaho to Irene Kress and Ray Olmstead on August 29, 1944. He grew up in the Northwest graduating from high school in Lodi, Calif. He enlisted in the Air Force and served overseas as an aircraft mechanic. After his discharge he lived in Arizona then Whidbey Island for 32 years. He brokered hay and traded horses while on the island. Ronald moved to the Vancouver area in 2001 and he worked for Steve Schneider Trucking. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and participating in rodeos. He was a former member of the American Legion.
Mr. Olmstead is survived by one son Jake, of Coulee City, Washington.
