Dear Mr.Partain, I wish to extend my sincere sympathy to you and your family at this time of sad loss. You probably do not remember me, but you inspired me, and I am so sorry for your loss. I was a student of yours in English 101 at Clark College in 1960 or 1970. May you find peace in knowing that others care and hold you in their prayers. Sincerely, Lorraine SturgeonDelahoyde

I met Diane on the Termini Imerese website. Even though I never met her in person, she had such a nice way about her that I felt that I wanted to be related to her. She contributed so much to the website and touched so many people, she will be missed.

Diane will be missed. I\'ve known her for over 20 years, she was great to work with. The last time I saw her, she was picking up some dining books from me. She met me in the school parking lot in her pj\'s. Love that! I will always remember her as the lady with the gift of connecting people. PS - her cookbook is amazing, yum!

My condolences to Diane\'s family. I worked with Diane from 1990-94 Camas Technical Center. I\'m not at all surprised to read in Diane\'s obit about how helping others was a focus for her. What I remember from my time working with Diane was 1 always wanting to help me with anything I was working on, and 2 always arranging a departmental party of one sort or another. She obviously loved people, loved being with people, and you couldn\'t help but love her for it. Thanks for sharing Diane with the rest of us - it was a great experience.

Mary Ciarlo called both Mom and I on Monday to tell us the sad news. Both Mom and I were shocked at Diane\'s passing, since neither one of us knew she had been sick. We were both thankful we had a chance to visit with her on our visit to Portland last spring; we shared a wonderful dinner at Heidis. She was her same gregarious self. She truly kept up the Cacicia family traditions, like the cookbook which I had a chance to see when I was up there and holiday gatherings. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lee and Greg.

I had the privilege of knowing and working with Diane for almost 30yrs at the lab in Camas.I have never met a more friendly and kind person as her. We worked on many committees together over the years and she was always ready and willing to do anything for the people that she worked with, and always with a smile. I will miss her. Diane is remembered with great warmth and many smiles. While highly effective in her work, much more than that, Diane brought people together. When we think of our "Hill" reunions, Diane comes to mind first. Lee and Greg, our deep sympathy is with you.

I will miss being in touch with Diane. Wished I knew her a long time ago. All the
Pittsburgh cousins feel the
loss. Joanne, Marlene, Frank, Carl, Mary Lou, Johnny and many more. I have the pictures of our reunion when Sarah and the girls came out. I felt so close to Diane like I knew her forever. My Grandmother was her Grandfathers sister-
Cacicia\'s.
She was beautiful inside and out.

We all wish we could be there with and for you at this difficult time. I did not have the opportunity to get to know Mrs. Partain well, but I have the strong impression of a warm, vital woman. She has left too soon. If I had the chance, I would thank her for her son Greg, who has been such a great friend to our family and wonderful teacher and role model to our sons.
