Gretchin, Erin and family, I work for Butler Animal Health Supply. I have been calling on Dean for 30 years. Being a sales representative not everyone gives you much respect or even acknowledges you. Dean always took the time to see me and talk to me. He went out of his way sometimes just to give me a couple of minutes whether it was to talk about fishing, golf, a joke or a new pharmaceutical. He was one of the most gracious Veterinarians I have ever met. His void will not be filled. I will miss him deeply. My prayers and thoughts are with you. Vern Mason

Gretchen, Erin and Family, My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. I am Cris, the groomer who was at Summit for the first couple years the clinic was open. I have fond memories of Dr. Dean, his passion with animals and his drive to be the best Dr. he could be. Always working hard, always learning, always doing. A wonderful man. I have thought about him and the clinic from time to time over the years and really miss being a part of such a wonderful team. My love to you all.

I have only the best memories of growing up with Dean and Gene in Woodland. It was no surprise to me that Dean came to devote his life to helping all of our animal friends. Peace and Love to all of his family and friends.

It was very sad news to hear of Dean\'s passing. I first met Dean when he began serving on the Public Health Advisory Council beginning in 2003. He was always so upbeat and ready to share his professional expertise. Dean was a good and gentle spirited man and he will be missed.

Dr. Dean was the best mentor anyone could ever have. He was a wonderful teacher, always calm and encouraging. His knowledge was inexhaustible and he was always glad to share what he knew. He was with me in good times and bad, never flagging in his support.

I will always remember Dean and that giant smile and his interspective way of being in the world. He filled the world with kindness and that was so easy to notice the minute he entered a room. I will miss him at the annual beach gatherings on the Oregon Coast and always have fond memories of his bright chuckle and warm nature. Dean was one of God\'s chosen angel\'s and today we can celebrate him getting his wings. Love to all of his family and friends as they unite today to celebrate his life.
With love,
Mary Bocci

We met Dean via Summit when we first got our Golden Retriever puppy 10 years ago. He was so nice and understanding of our dog\'s hyperactivity and assured us that he completely understood given that he, too, had Goldens. We would see Dean at LaCamas Swim & Sport as well. He was always positive and made sure to ask about how you and your family/animal was. He was such a nice, gentle man. Too bad that he had such a short live here, but the angels are dancing for their new addition.

I knew Dean thru Disability Resources of SW Washington. He was the dearest sweetest man and always spoke to me with the most loving kindest encouraging words. I was so shocked to learn of his passing. He always asked after my pets and gladly gave me advice on their care without ever charging me a cent for his time and I was so grateful for his imput. Dean was a very special man who will be very missed in our community.
I wish his family peace during this time of sadness...I can\'t help but think Dean is up at the Rainbow Bridge caring for animals who need comfort while they wait for their owners to arrive...as he loved animals so dearly.

I was introduced to Dr Dean back in 1997 when I had a big dog tragedy. Dr Dean was so wonderful and so caring and supportive. His great talents helped my dog live. Tragedy turned into triumph. After all these years, I never forgot him and what he did. He will be missed.
