VIOLA BELL CHAPPELL Viola Chappell, age 85, passed away January 31, 2009 at home in Washougal. She was born December 6, 1923 in Lincoln County, Oklahoma. Viola worked at the Pendleton Woolen Mills for 40 years as a sewer. When her children where young she enjoyed camping and fishing. She also loved birds and picnics. Viola was a beautiful seamstress who collected teddy bears and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dee Chappell in1988 and brother, Melvin Orr in 2008. She is survived by her sons, Ron Real and wife, Janice of Wellston, OK, Mike Chappell and wife, Nancy of Washougal, WA, Pat Chappell and wife, Becky of Washougal, WA; daughter, Shirley Lowe of Medford, OR; brothers, Vernon Orr of California, Alvin Orr of Texas, Donald Orr of Montana, Leon Orr of Minnesota; sister, Velma Phebus , Leola Greenfield and Wanda Burrow all of Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 1pm at Straubâ??s Funeral Home in Camas. Burial will be private at the Camas Cemetery.
