Blanche Caroline Stacy
Blanche Caroline Mulwee Stacy, daughter of Leroy J. Mulwee and Bertha V.
Townsend Mulwee, passed away January12, 2009 in Vancouver, Washington at the age of 93.
She was born in Edgemont, North Carolina on July 3,1915.
Blanche was retired from Nabisco Portland Oregon after 27 years of service where she was supervisor of the ice cream cone line.
Blanche was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Leroy and
Blaine, two sisters, Cleo and Eva and her husband, Elmer Guy Stacy Sr.
She is survived by her sister, Frances Clark of Chinook WA, her two daughters,
Eunice Greathouse of Portland OR, Esther Pearson of Lake Havasu, AZ and her
Son, Elmer G. Stacy Jr. of Stevenson, WA. She also had 8 grandchildren and
several great grandchildren.
Blanche was a Christian woman. She enjoyed her many friends, bowling, playing cards, fishing, camping and going to Las Vegas to play the slots and bingo. She also enjoyed traveling and had seen most of the United States from coast to coast.
She lived in Washougal for more than 50 years before moving briefly to a senior residence in Portland then into an adult family home in Vancouver early last year where she was given very good care by her new foster family the Keesees.
A celebration of Blanches life will be held on Friday, January 16, 2009 at 2PM at Straubâ??s Funeral Home in Camas.
