Well, words cannot express the loss that I feel in my heart. Uncle Rolly was a second father to me. I always enjoyed his gentle teasing and funny way that he always had about him. He was always jovial and happy to see his family members, including me! What a great spirit he had about him. I love him and will miss him dearly. I\'m sure his heavenly family is thrilled to see him! Lucky them! Michelle

My 6th grade teacher often side-tracked by giving us life stories so that we should all be a little more careful with time here on this earth. Funny how I remember his stories instead of the actual lessons :o I was glad to have known he was a Christian and seen that influence on his children, and his children\'s children. I pray God\'s peace and mercy be with the family.

Virginia Birdie and family we wish to reach out to you all with love and comfort at your time of loss of dear Roweland. We certainly enjoyed our times in Moses Lake at the El Mexico Cafe, riding the Honda, church and gatherings riding together to Issaquah for the WORD Conference and talking teacher shop talk. Then again the breakfast we had together a few years ago when you visited here in Boise. I have kept you on my prayer list all of these years because of your continuing friendship and just because I care. I know that you will trust in our Lord for His guidance and comfort through the grieving process and the period of transition. God Bless all of you and we are sorry we cannot be with you at this time.

Virginia and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved Rowland. I was aware of his illness from talking with Marvelina. Back in the 6o\'s I l lived in Camas, my name then was Mary Ellis. Marvelina was responsible for my salvation, she is very dear to me. I met you back then, Virginia. May our Lord give you much peace during this hard time. How wonderful to know Rowland is in the presence of Jesus now.
Sincere Blessings to you and your dear family.

If people generally leave a "hole" when they exit this life, then Roweland left a "crater". He possessed the rare gift of authenticity, thereby letting the rest of us actually get to know him - and what a joy to know him, giving us much to remember. Thanks for a great sense of humour, great book discussions, great vegetables, great knowledge on how to fix anything, and great rescues of our car with flat tires left in the mountains. In short thanks for being a great Christian neighbor.

Dear Virginia and Family,
We knew Roweland to be a wonderful, kind man with a super sense of humor. John and Virginia are cousins but Roweland and I considered ourselves to be a couple of the "outlaws"! We love you and our hearts are sad. We look forward to a "cousin\'s reunion" in heaven. We will continue to ask Our Lord to give you strength and to comfort you and your family.

Virgnia and Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in the passing of our dear friend, Roweland. We have many memories of our first encounter with Roweland at the Freshman/Sophmore NNU Flag Hunt. This encounter moved from negative to positive and continued throughout our lives. The many camping trips and tour of Europe in a two bedroom tent are our favorite memories. Roweland was a wonderful and loving friend. We will miss his humor, his insight of life and dedication. Although we can not be at the Memorial, we will be thinking of all of you. May God be with you at this time.

To the Anderson family,
Roweland always made me feel loved and part of your family. He was quick with a smile and hug. I see him in heaven singing and praising our Lord with all the joy and love available to him. His voice is loud and beautiful to the Lord. What a wonderful picture for me to have the honor to see.
You are in my prayers and thoughts. I love this family like it is my own and will miss him also.

Always beloved brother and uncle.
He will always be remembered for the joy he found in life, the integrity of his life, the loyalty he showed in life, his love of family and friends and the faith in God that led him through life.
Remembered always, missed always, we shall smile at his memory. This we do in honor of him, his courage and the knowledge that he resides in that heavenly place "prepared for him."
And,if any of you get there before us, look for that happy fella with the mischievious glint in his eye and let him know he should expect lots of company

Please accept my condolences for the loss of your loved one.Ezekiel 18:32 assures us that Almighty God never takes "any delight in the death of someone".In fact he offers a wonderful hope for our loved ones who have died. Hosea 13:14 lovingly reveals: "From the hand of Sheol I shall redeem them; from death I shall recover them". May you receive much comfort and strength from this hope found in the Holy Scriptures.
