I remember at our reunion I was so excited that I finally got to meet Mike; the funny guy Bruce always told me about. I was so impressed with the congrats speech he gave Wayne and Julie; so articulate and truly nice. He was a special guy.

Oh goodness.
I still can not believe this tragic news. Mike made memories for all of us, each and every CHS student, at one time or another throughout our years of high school. 3 things for sure: Parties, His Smile and "THE ULT". Everyone who ever met him would agree that this is just unbelievable and so painful. There\'s comfort in knowing Our Lord has him now - at Home. I know Mike and his shining smile will always be with each and every one of us.
God Bless your precious family, Mike.
You will truly be missed.

Growing up with Mike was unforgetable good fortune. The magnitude of his personality is hysterically captured in a 1984 yearbook photo taken during a pep assemply. I am not exactly sure how Mike managed to get into Kelly Batten\'s cheerleading outfit, but the laughter will stay with me a lifetime.
To ALL of you who got together Friday night to celebrate Mike\'s Life, I MISS YOU! We are all better for knowing him. Norm, Diana, Sherry, Lyn & Preston especially, I am thinking of you.

Hey Mike, you were one of kind my friend! You always time for a hi, smile and a laugh! I was and still am so sad and shocked to read in the newspaper about you passing on. God I am going to miss talking to you about upcoming reunions and who I had talked too from our class and who we were still looking for, but if anyone knew where they were, you did. I would call you and sure enough you steered me in the right way with a name or a phone number. At our 20 year reunion I am so glad we hugged and told each other how much we both meant to each other from 5th grade to our forever friendship we had and will forever have. When I came home on Saturday night after working I was so happy to see my wife and 3 boys, I just gave them all a hug and told them I loved them. Then today Sunday when I got home I tried to call as many of my close friends just to say hi and let know that I was thinking of them. Camas schools from elementary, middle and high school all knew of Mike and he made them a better place to be and attend. Mike I love you and we all need you to keep an eye on us and watch over us. When I need something to smile about, I know you can do that for me. Peace to you my friend and brother, I will never forget you and your awesome smile and energy you had for life. I just need to get a hold of Russell, Larson, Dolan or Francis so we can all raise our glasses and toast you not once or twice, but a least 3 times! Cheers to you Mike and peace to you! You will always be remembered but I assure you NEVER FORGOTTEN...

I have had the pleasure of being friends with Michael Allen parks since the age of 7 and calendar year of 1974.We were standing in the school lunch line and I tried to cut in front of Mike witch led us straight to the office. We both had to call our parents as we wept.
Mike has been a loyal friend since that day. We have shared most of all lifeâ??s journeys together. Mike has always been one of those rare friends that I could count on to help out under any and all circumstance. I know mike is in good hands now; he will certainly be missed by all.

Lyn, I didn\'t know Mike too well but I know in talking to him how much he charished his family. He was always so gracious and kind. Preston will never forget his Daddy.I always think of the time I passed Mike and Preston in the suburban. Preston was pressing his face to the window making faces at the passing cars and I could see Mike laughing as he drove along. Preston must have gotten his sense of humor from his dad. I can\'t imagine your loss and am here if you ever need me.With Love Kelley

Mike,
We did it your way -
As many of your old friends will have a hard time telling others the PARKS stories in a church/family setting we decided to get together friday evening and celebrate your life.
Mike you would have been so proud with no notice or planning Jay working the phone so many of your friends turned out.
Walker put together a bunch of pictures and we told all the old stories.
Mike - You were always bigger than life and we will miss you so much

We are so devastated for you, Byn, as well as for Preston. It will be very hard for us all to attend parties, football games, and school functions and not expect Mike to be there. He had become a valued friend and we will mourn for all of the opportunities we won\'t have to spend time with him, but mostly, we mourn for the good father and husband that he consistently worked to be. It is an incredible loss for all of us, and please remember we are always here for you. I hope Preston will be able to remember how much his Dad loved him and wanted to raise him to be a fine man.
