Obituary of Michael Lynn Torbert

MICHAEL L. TORBERT Michael Torbert, of Washougal, passed away October 30 in Vancouver at the age of 53. He was born January 11, 1955 in Santa Monica, CA where he was raised. Michael worked as a machinist after high school. He moved to the Camas/Washougal area and worked for Phylmar as a machinist. He later worked for Acumed in Hillsboro machining bone screws and other surgical parts. On November 30, 1996 he married Shirley and they made Washougal there home. Michael enjoyed fishing, water-skiing and tinkering with small engines. He is survived by his wife, Shirley, at home; son, Dennis Leandra Torbert of Washougal; brother, Marvin Laura Torbert of Shelton, WA; sisters, Monica Hanson of Arkansas, Barbara of Germany, Deborah and Rae Ellen both of Arkansas and longtime friend, Herbert Parmer.
