Dale A. Richards
Dale went to be with the Lord on October 30, 2008. He was born in Ekalaka, Montana on January 30, 1927 to Archie and Grace Richards and was the third oldest of eight children. Dale spent time in the US Army during World War II, worked as a logger in his younger years, raised registered Angus cattle, and retired out of the Camas paper mill after 30 years. He was a PUD commissioner for Skamania County for 13 years. He volunteered with the Skamania Fair and 4H, spending quality time with countless young people and supervising the livestock barn at the fair. One of the things he took great pride in was being in the Cape Horn Legion Post 122 color guard.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Ila, one daughter, Ellen Cline and Dennis, one son, Alfred Richards and Suzie, 14 grandkids, 35 great grandkids, and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his sons, Larry and Archie.
Services will be at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 6th at the Skamania Community Church. Memorials can be sent to the Skamania County 4H or Cape Horn Legion Post 122. To send condolences or to sign the online guest book visit www.straubsfuneralhome.com.
