TAMRA â??TAMMYâ?? KAYE SORENSEN Tammy Sorensen, age 49, passed away Wednesday September 17, 2008 at home in Camas after a 2 year battle with Lymphoma cancer. She was born May 17, 1959 in Colorado Springs, CO to Ken Strutton and Kay Collier. She married Steve Sorensen on July 14, 1989 in Diamond Lake, OR. Tammy enjoyed going to the beach, going camping, and taking care of her family and grandchildren. She was kind, caring and willing to help others. She was preceded in death by her mother Kay Collier; stepfather, George Collier and grandmother Gladys Strutton. Survivors include her husband, Steve at home; children Jessica Jacobs and husband Scott of Oregon City, OR; Nicole Boyer and fiancé Mike Yeats of Portland, OR; Stefani Sorensen, Kassidi Sorensen, and Spencer Sorensen, still at home; father, Ken Strutton and wife, Marlene of Portland, OR; grandchildren, Hanna and Lauren Jacobs of Oregon City, OR; in-laws, Norma and Darrel Edwards of Mattoon, IL; siblings; Debbie Collier of Battle Ground, WA; Rob Collier and wife Betty, of Aloha, OR, sister-in-law, Karen Temples of Oakland, IL, Kathy Slater of Cooks Mills, IL and Pam Jordan of Mattoon, IL. Tammyâ??s life will be celebrated on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 11:30am at Grace Foursquare Church in Camas. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be given to The Tamra Sorensen Memorial Fund c/o Straubâ??s Funeral Home 325 NE 3rd Ave. Camas, WA 98607.
