Obituary of Lillian Ouida Bradford

LILLIAN OUIDA BRADFORD Lillian Bradford, age 87, passed away June 6, 2008 in Lyle, WA. She was born May 12, 1921 in Lakeland, FL. She grew up in Florida and attended college in Maryland where she earned her teaching degree in Elementary education. She returned to Florida and began her teaching career. On June 10, 1946 she married Ethan Bradford in Pendleton, OR. They moved to Astoria and later to Portland where she was a substitute teacher. In 1972 they moved to Vancouver and she also made Camas/Washougal her home. Lillian worked in different offices in clerical positions before retiring. She was a member of the Riverside Seventh-day Adventist Church in Washougal and was an avid collector of seashells. She is survived by her sons, Gerald Bradford of Washougal, Timothy Bradford of Goldendale, WA, Thomas Bradford of Riverside, CA; daughters, Eileen VanTassel of Goldendale, WA, Brenda Ferrier of Dallas, TX; brother, Charles Gardner of Orlando, FL; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the residence of Joyce Dutro on Monday, June 9 at 3pm. Burial will be private at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR.
