Obituary of John Ross McKenzie

JOHN ROSS MCKENZIE In loving memory of John Ross McKenzie who passed on June 5th, 2008 at his home in Prineville, Oregon. John was born on May 18m 1931 in the Niagara Falls area.. After graduating from Camas High School he served his country in the National Guard. He then went to work at Crown Zellerbach where he worked for 38 years before retiring to travel the United States. John was an avid golfer and excelled in all sports. He was a proud member of the Elkâ??s, Moose & Eagle Lodge. He will be fondly remembered for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. John was preceded in death by his parents Alister and Vieno McKenzie and his brother, Alan. He is survived by his wife, Almeda; his son, Ronald A. McKenzie and wife Johanna; his daughter, Julie A. Hoerner and husband Larry; grandson, Christian Malbeck and numerous extended family. A graveside service will be held at the Camas Cemetery on Tuesday, June 10th at 12:00 Noon.
