Obituary of Florence E. Ryan

FLORENCE E. RYAN Florence Ryan, of Camas, passed away April 8, 2008 in Vancouver at the age of 84. She was born March 26, 1924 in Ocean Falls, BC, Canada to Cecil and Soffia Knapp. She moved to Camas as a young age and worked at the snack bar at the Autoview Drive-In. She later worked many dedicated years as a billing clerk for Crown Zellerbach paper mill. Mrs. Ryan was the great granddaughter of Henry Monroe Knapp, a pioneer of the Camas area and a state legislator. She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, cats and puzzles. She is survived by her nephews, John and Frank Bega; cousin, Deborah Patton and friends and caretakers, Patti Gould and Mark Berglund. Private services will be held at a later date. Straubâ??s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial donations can be given to the Childrenâ??s Cancer Fund.
