Obituary of Darlene Betty Etapa

DARLENE BETTY ETAPA Darlene Etapa, of Washougal, passed away February 2 in Vancouver at the age of 73. She was born on January 6, 1935 in Hope, Kansas and came to Washougal as a toddler. Darlene graduated from Washougal High School and married Wayne Davis in 1956. He passed away in 1983. She married Robert Etapa in April of 1989. Darlene worked for Pendleton Woolen Mill for 10 years in the office and also as a Veterinary Assistant for Dr. Keller. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Washougal. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and she also enjoyed gardening and cross stitching. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne; brother, Dennis Krause and daughter, Shelly Etapa Morris. She is survived by her husband Robert; children Elisa Mike Boyle of Washougal, Kim Kelly Poulson of Washougal, Keith Lori Etapa of Central Point, OR, Michael Etapa of Washougal; brothers, Gerald Krause of Washougal, Delano Beverly Krause of Washougal and numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Friday, February 8 at 11am at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Washougal. Visitation will be Thursday from 10am to 5pm at Straubâ??s Funeral Home in Camas. Interment will be at 2pm at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver. Straubâ??s Funeral Home & Columbia River Cremation in Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
