Obituary of Florence R. Blair

FLORENCE R. BLAIR Florence Blair, age 94, passed away January 18 in Vancouver. She was born June 30, 1913 in Washougal to Grace Thayer and Carl Carpenter. She graduated from Washougal High School and started working in the nursing field. She later went to work for Pacific NW Bell in Portland. Florence married Emerson Blair and they made Portland their home. He passed away in 1966 and Florence would retire in 1973 and move to Hawaii. She retuned to Milwaukie, OR in the late 1970â??s and spent the past several years in Vancouver. Florence, at one time, was a champion bowler and she also enjoyed traveling to Hawaii. She is survived by her son, Craig Blair of Vancouver; grandchildren, Stuart Blair of Vancouver, Kristin Dagge of Portland and 5 great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 23 at 11am at Straubâ??s Funeral Home in Camas. Inurnment will be at the Washougal Memorial Cemetery.
