Willis W. Waddle Willis W. Waddle died Nov. 13, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 73. He was born June 15, 1934, in Webster, S.D. He graduated from Vancouver High School in 1952, and attended Clark College. He worked for 17 years at Crown Zellerbach, and retired after 27 years of service as a longshoreman for Local 4 in Vancouver. He had lived in Camas for 52 years. He was known to his peers as ?Washougal Willie? for his many adventures in the steelhead fishing world. He enjoyed fishing, hunting for rocks and artifacts, going to garage sales and camping on Long Island, Wash., with his family. He was an avid traveler and had been to many places including New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Tahiti, Hawaii, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and Mexico as well as most of the United States pulling a travel trailer. He is preceded in death by his sister Wanda Waddle Rolls. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wilma; four children, Nancy J. Doherty of Washougal, Bill Waddle of Camas, Richard W. Waddle of Vancouver and Terrie LeAnn Rothman of Camas; sisters, Sharon Belisle and Bonnie Mersereau; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great danes, five cats and five parrots. At Willis? request, no services will be held. Straub?s Funeral Home in Camas is in charge of arrangements.
